“…The O•••HO-P hydrogen bonds range from 2.444 to 2.551 Å for Rb 2 [(H 2 P 2 O 6 )(H 4 P 2 O 6 )] and from 2.441 to 2.551 Å for Cs 2 [(H 2 P 2 O 6 )(H 4 P 2 O 6 )] molecule. The P–P distance is 2.175 Å for Rb and 2.182 Å for Cs salts, the P–O bond lengths range from 1.501 to 1.569 Å, and both distances are consistent with the results of other works [ 13 , 16 , 24 , 30 , 31 , 32 ]. Emami et al synthesized organic-inorganic salts of hypodiphosphoric acid tetraalkylammonium cations, which have been characterized by X-ray crystallography, IR spectroscopy, and NMR measurements in the solid state [ 30 ].…”

“…The dehydrated form crystallizes in the same group with the same lattice parameters. In contrast, Kinzhybalo and co-workers (2018) have reported a compound tetra-n-butylammonium hypodiphosphate hydrate [24] in which water is removed from the crystal upon heating, accompanied by a reorganization of the ions present in the crystal.…”

“…Water removal from a crystal is often accompanied by a conformational change of the ions present ISSN 2053ISSN -2296 # 2019 International Union of Crystallography in the crystal. Emami et al (2018) have reported such a case in tetra-n-butylammonium hypodiphosphate hydrate. Therefore, understanding the nature of the dehydration process, its mechanism and the factors that affect it are needed.…”
