P‐1.1: User‐behavior based External Compensation for Active‐Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode Displays

Abstract

Various compensation methods, including external and internal compensation method, have been proposed to solve the non‐uniformity of degradation between different array pixels. Current commercial methods can be summarized as Edge‐side self‐compensation method, which has not fully utilized the information of user behavior to provide the optimized compensation method for specific user and will result in the waste of resources. In this paper, we propose a user‐behavior based external compensation (UBEC) method to provide customized compensation method for customers. A simulation based on MATLAB platform is designed to verify the proposed method. The simulation results on three different App usage scenarios proved the performance of UBEC method. The resources consumed for sensing the operating status can be greatly saved with UBEC method.
