P-138: Polarizing Light Waveguide Plate

Abstract: Liquid crystal displays (LCDs) are widely used for mobile devices. They are usually edgelit that a LED light source is installed at the edge of the displays and the produced light is spread out through a light waveguide plate to illuminate the display. We developed a polarizing light waveguide plate from polymer stabilized nematic liquid crystal.
