P‐173: A Novel Method for Evaluating Water Permeability in Sealants by Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry

Abstract

We have proposed a novel method for evaluating water permeability in sealants. The use of isotope-labeled water, deuterium oxide (D 2 O), and secondary ion mass spectrometry enabled to clarify permeated D 2 O concentration profile after exposure in D 2 O vapor.
