Abstract: Introduction: Progressive hepatolenticular degeneration or Wilson's disease is a rare autosomal recessive genetic disorder of copper metabolism, which is characterised of hepatic and neurological disorders due to the accumulation of copper in organs such as the liver or the basal ganglia.
