P3.07-02 Expectations, Standards and Performance Framework to Support the Lung Cancer Support Nurse in Lung Foundation Australia

Abstract: Background: The majority of NSCLC patients treated with immunecheckpoint inhibitors (ICI) develop acquired resistance. Conventional cytotoxic chemotherapy remains the treatment of choice for those patients. There are case reports on re-administration of ICIs for advanced NSCLC; however, these case series are difficult to draw definitive conclusions. We therefore retrospectively reviewed the efficacy of retreatment with ICI in our hospital. Method: Patients with pathologically confirmed advanced NSCLC who were … Show more

“…For example, the complete breathing method in yoga breathing method can fully open the chest cavity through the combination of chest breathing method and abdominal breathing method, so that the main respiratory muscles of the human body, namely, diaphragm, intercostal muscle, and abdominal muscle, are involved in breathing exercise, so that the alveoli of the upper, middle, and lower lungs are involved in gas exchange, which can reduce dead space-like ventilation, improving ventilation and perfusion of poor pulmonary ventilation [ 18 ]. Clean breathing is a rapid abdominal breathing, through rapid abdominal contraction, pushing the diaphragm to squeeze the lungs so that respiratory secretions are excreted from the airway along with the air, which can reduce the retention of respiratory secretions; alternative nostril breathing alternately through the left and right nostrils for chest breathing can selectively activate the autonomic nervous system, resulting in a significant sedative effect [ 19 ]. However, patients' compliance with yoga breathing training is an important prerequisite to affect its effect.…”

“…VCAM-1 remained predictive of mortality following adjustment for DLCO%, pulmonary hypertension, age, gender and ILD (HR 2.76,p < 0.01). The association between VCAM-1 and mortality remained true for participants with ILD (HR 4.04, 2.37-6.90), early SSc (HR 6.57;diffuse (HR 3.72;) and limited disease (HR 3.68; TO 112 | Determinants of sedentary behaviour and time spent in moderate-vigorous physical activity in ILD Dowman L 1,2,3,4 , May A 1 , Hill C 2,4 , Bondarenko J 1,5 ,McDonald C 2,3,6 , Glaspole I 7,8 , Goh N 3,6,7 , Holland A Methods: Multiple hPCLS (500 μm thick) were prepared from agarose-inflated non-IPF lung resections or donor lungs not used for transplant (n = 5). PCLS were treated for 120 h with fibrotic cocktail (FC = TGFβ, LPA, PDGF-AB and TNFα) +/relaxin (100 nM) or pirfenidone (500 μM).…”
