Papel actual de la linfadenectomía y la adrenalectomía en la cirugía radical del cáncer renal

Abstract: Radical nephrectomy is the only curative treatment for renal cell cancer. Standard treatment includes ipsilateral adrenalectomy and lymph node dissection. In recent years, development of nephron-sparing surgery and early detection of small renal tumors has led to question this approach. The role of lymphadenectomy and adrenalectomy in surgical treatment of renal cancer is reviewed.
