Paper-Based Molecular-Imprinting Technology and Its Application

Abstract: Paper-based analytical devices (PADs) are highly effective tools due to their low cost, portability, low reagent accumulation, and ease of use. Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIP) are also extensively used as biomimetic receptors and specific adsorption materials for capturing target analytes in various complex matrices due to their excellent recognition ability and structural stability. The integration of MIP and PADs (MIP-PADs) realizes the rapid, convenient, and low-cost application of molecular-imprinting… Show more

“…At this moment, the corresponding coal sample can be called a representative element volume. Therefore, by controlling the volume of the model near the representative element volume, it can not only ensure that the model can better represent the whole coal sample but also reduce the burden and calculation time of the computer . As shown in Figure , the side length of the unit body is in the range of 350–550 pixels, and the total porosity has been on the rise.…”

“…The precision and dependability of biosensing data can be impacted by sample preparation and matrix effects. 160 Certain biomimetic receptors, such as aptamers, are susceptible to changes in pH and temperature in the environment. It can be difficult to guarantee their stability when being stored and used, especially for biosensors that can be deployed in the field.…”

“…MIPs are most commonly used in sample preparation of small molecules, but also MIPs for selective enrichment of proteins are described 27 . Several MIPs, including MIPs targeting proteins, have been imprinted on paper 28 . These are used mainly used in sensing systems, e.g., MIPs for chymotrypsinogen determination in urine using a distance detection‐based microfluidic paper 29 and a fluorescent MIP for ferritin determination 30 .…”
