Paper No P25: The Nanocomposite on the Base of Liquid Crystal Material with Aluminum Nitride for Sulfur Dioxide Optical Sensor

Abstract: In this paper, we study the influence of sulfur dioxide (SO2) on spectral characteristics of the nanocomposite on the base of cholesteric liquid crystal with aluminum nitride (AlN). The changes in spectral characteristics as the result of the interaction of SO2 with AlN nanotubes was demonstrated. We propose to use this nanocomposite as the material of the primary transducer of SO2 optical sensor.
