Abstract:Liquid crystal displays (LCDs) with touch-screen capabilities are becoming increasingly popular. When a user pushes a screen too hard, the cell gap changes and causes a blur (known as touch mura) around the push location. This paper uses finite element analysis to predict the change in cell gap when an LCD panel is subjected to a touch force.
