“…The only abnormal feature in the blood count is an increase in eosinophils. Elevation of serum IgE has been described in some cases, 6 and only in few cases a mildly abnormal liver function test with slight elevation of alkaline phospatase and γ‐glutamyl transferase levels; discrete elevation of LDH, aldolase, hepatitis A antibodies and β 2 ‐microglobulin have been described 7 . The histological examination of specimens taken from papular lesions demonstrated a mild degree of acanthosis and hyperkeratosis, and, occasionally, spongiosis and exocytosis resulted in damage of basal keratinocytes.…”

“…Papuloerythroderma was first described in 1984 by Ofuji et al (1). The clinical features are characterized by a pruritic eruption of widespread, red-brown, flat papules sparing the skin folds, the so-called deckchair sign, and peripheral eosinophilia (2)(3)(4). It is proposed to be a distinctive clinical entity, but it is not clear whether the dermatosis is a cutaneous marker of systemic pathological conditions or a precursor of cutaneous lymphomas (5,6).…”
