Parachute Journalism

Abstract: This entry provides an introduction to the practice of parachute journalism, including an overview of past and present research on the topic and suggestions for future research. As an international trend, parachute journalism is the practice of “parachuting” journalists into foreign regions to report on breaking news before returning home.
