Abstract:The identification of optimally sparse Taylor partial derivatives presents a new opportunity in efficient nonlinear aerodynamic model reduction for complex aeroelastic systems. Unfortunately, for this class of reduced order model (ROM), the robustness that is observed in the linear regime to parameters including; dynamic pressure, control hinge linear stiffness, or even freeplay, is quickly forfeited given the amplitude (or velocity) dependency of the aerodynamic loading on the structure. In this paper, nonlin… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
