Parametric Study for Different Er3+/Yb3+ Fiber Samples Based on a Computer Model for Diode Pumped Fiber Laser

Abstract: In this paper the Erbium-Ytterbium (Er 3+ /Yb 3+) co-doped fiber laser pumped by a laser diode is simulated using the Optiwave software. The proposed model is introduced and was used to perform a parametric study on four different samples of Er 3+ /Yb 3+ fiber A, B, C, and D differ in their core diameters and their numerical apertures.
