Abstract:SummaryCanine parvovirus (CPV) isolated as a new virus in dogs is endemic in this population. The application of vaccination has not prevented the spread of the disease. New antigenic variants have been isolated in different geographic regions. The article presents the evolution of CPV in the global carnivore population and the epidemiology of parvovirus infections. CPV is a very good model for understanding the sudden appearance of a disease through cross-species transmission.
