Abstract:This paper considers the use of optimal control theory to design circuits for small-scale, single-transducer vibration energy harvesting applications, in which the external disturbance is a broadband stochastic process. Specifically, we investigate the use of a lossless passive two-port network terminated by a single-directional DC/DC converter, to impose transducer voltage feedback laws on energy harvesting systems. Such an implementation requires external power only to gate one MOSFET in a PWM cycle, and req… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
