Patent urachus with subcutaneous communication and ventral abdominal swelling in a domestic short‐hair cat

Abstract: A 3‐month‐old, male, entire, domestic shorthair kitten underwent investigations for stranguria and haematuria, and was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection secondary to a suspected extramural vesicourachal diverticulum. Lower urinary tract signs resolved with a 14‐day course of amoxicillin clavulanate.
