Abstract:This paper presents an improved approach to minimize tool path length in multi-tool drilling operations using a genetic algorithm. Hole drilling is prevalent in manufacturing processes, particularly in computer numerical control machines. Holes often vary in size, necessitating tool switches during drilling.
