Pathological correlates of magnetic resonance imaging texture heterogeneity in multiple sclerosis

Abstract: Texture analysis performed on routine clinical magnetic resonance images may be a potential measure of tissue integrity. Tissues with more severe myelin and axonal pathology are associated with greater texture heterogeneity.
