Patient survival based on temporal relationships between metastatic pancreatic cancer and brain metastases treated in a single institution: An opportunity for early detection
Susan Haag
Abstract:Brain metastasis (BM) is an inauspicious finding in patients with pancreatic cancer (PC) and significantly increases morbidity and mortality. Because the presentation is rare, there is a dearth of information on patient characteristics, treatments, and disease progression. If PC patients who are most likely to develop BM can be detected earlier, there is an opportunity for better prognosis.
