“…Ten patients with a shoulder external rotation deficit had a subscapularis muscle release with or without muscle transfer (latissimus dorsi or trapezius) (Werthel et al., 2018) or a rotation osteotomy of the humerus. Two patients with a severe elbow flexion deficit were treated with a triceps transfer to the biceps muscle or a Steindler procedure, while two patients had a pectoralis minor transfer to the biceps to reinforce an already existing but insufficient active elbow flexion (Costil et al., 2018). Sixteen patients with weak wrist extension were treated with transfer of flexor carpi ulnaris to the extensor carpi radialis brevis or longus.…”
