Abstract:Here we have described the anesthetic management of a 10-year-old patient having uremia-induced dilated cardiomyopathy for a living-related adult to pediatric renal transplant. Maintaining optimal hemodynamics, especially during the reperfusion phase, is crucial for maintaining graft perfusion. However, dilated cardiomyopathy limits indiscriminate fluid administration as it may cause congestive heart failure and pulmonary edema. We have described the fluid therapy algorithm based on the plethysmography variabi… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
