Penerapan Model POE2WE Berbasis Virtual Learning pada Materi Listrik Arus Bolak Balik (AC) untuk Melatihkan High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) Peserta Didik SMA

Abstract

The aim of this study was to apply the POE2WE (Prediction, Obsrvation, Explanation, Elaboration, Write, Evaluation) model based on virtual learning to practice high order thinking skills (HOTS) in senior high school students. This type of research is pre-experimental designs with two experimental class research, namely class XII MIPA 1 and XII MIPA 2 in SMA Negeri 1 Pare, which are treated the same. The analysis technique used is the paired t-test which is used to test the difference between pre-test and post-test, then using the n-gain analysis to see the criteria for increasing the value, and the independent t-test to see the average gain of consistency of the two experimental classes. The POE2WE model based on virtual learning can be said to be effective if the post-test score is higher than the pre-test value, the average n-gain value is in the moderate minimum category which aims to see an increase in the results of the application, and there is no difference in the average gain value. In both experimental classes so that the bias is said to be consistent. This study results show that the POE2WE model with virtual learning results is effective for practising high-order thinking skills of senior high school students.
