“…Although there are reports showing that a tracheal obstruction caused by thyroid cancer does not create too much difficulty in endotracheal intubation and allows the intubation of a larger sized endotracheal tube than the measured ID [ 2 , 6 - 8 ], no such clinical findings have been reported in Korea. All Korean case studies employed special methods, such as percutaneous extracorporeal circulation, cardiopulmonary bypass, epidural anesthesia, etc [ 5 , 9 , 10 ].
