Abstract:Objectives: Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) remains the gold-standard examination for the diagnosis of Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) complete rupture. Arthroscopy is an extremely sensitive and specific procedure for the evaluation of ACL, but it is invasive. Just few authors compared the performance of low field MRIs with the results of arthroscopy. We therefore proposed to compare the low-field MRI performance in the ACL complete ruptures with the results of the arthroscopy.
