Abstract:Proton-conducting ceramics are a promising new class of electrochemical cells with a lower-temperature operational range in comparison to more-conventional solid-oxide or molten-carbonate counterparts. In the past, we have successfully demonstrated the scalability of this technology from the button-cell to the lab-scale stacks shown in the figure, along with strong performance and stability over thousands of hours under methane fuel at 550 ºC. This encouraging result was achieved through careful tuning of mate… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
