Performance Queer Em “O Menino Que Brincava De Ser”

Abstract

O menino que brincava de ser (2000) is a novel written by Georgina da Costa Martins and is considered to be a very important work in the field of Brazilian children's literature, especially because of its approach of relevant topics to the current sociocultural context, such as sexuality, gender, domestic violence, sexism and bullying. The novel narrates the story of Dudu and his conflicts occasioned by his escape from the nomartivity imposed to him, fighting the repression caused by the binarity socially built around gender. In this context, we attempt to reveal the value of novels like Georgina's to children's literature and the importance it brings in developing their readers. Our analisis is based on the theories of authors like Butler (2003), Foucault (2013), Martha (2011) among others that serve as guiders through our work ResumoO menino que brincava de ser (2000), de Georgina da Costa Martins, se apresenta como uma obra de grande importância na literatura infantil brasileira, em especial por abordar temas relevantes no contexto sociocultural atual, como: sexualidade, gênero, violência doméstica, machismo e bullying. Por meio dela, conhecemos a história de Dudu e os seus conflitos devido às tentativas de fuga da normatividade pré-imposta a ele, enfrentando as repressões advindas da binaridade socialmente construída do gênero. Nesse contexto, procuramos mostrar a relevância de trabalhos como o da autora para a literatura infantil e o importante papel
