Peripheral neuropathy in type 2 diabetes mellitus in Isfahan, Iran: prevalence and risk factors

Abstract: Peripheral neuropathy is a common complication in this population of Iranian type 2 diabetic patients. It increases with age, duration of diabetes and proteinuria.

The result of the study showed that, the onset of DPN was early among female patients than males without statistically significant difference that agree with 17,18,19,20 . Also no significant difference development of DPN and age at onset of DM that agree with 21 .…”
