Peripheral ossifying fibroma: A case report

Abstract: Gingival tissues are highly susceptible to developmental changes in the form of various reactive and neoplastic lesions. Peripheral ossifying fibroma is an inflammatory growth of the gums developing in response to plaque and other associated local factors favoring plaque accumulation and originating from the cells of the gingival corium, periosteum and periodontal ligament.
