Abstract:Kidney replacement therapy (KRT) may present restrictions on a patient's lifestyle. The patient with chronic kidney disease (CKD) must overcome numerous barriers in order to survive; among them, the capacity to discern which KRT is the best choice, allowing a smoother adaptation to the new life situation.
