Abstract:Persistent hyperplastic primary vitreous (PHPV) is a rare, predominantly unilateral congenital eye pathology associated with delayed reverse development of the hyaloid artery and embryonic vascular membrane of the lens and often co-occurs with congenital cataract and microphthalmos.
