pH-controlled DNA- and RNA-templated assembly of short oligomers

Abstract: A stimuli-responsive enzyme-free and activator-free DNA- and RNA-templated assembly of bifunctional short oligonucleotides is reported.

While borate has been proposed to have played a role in the selection of ribose,56 and to link nucleic acids together,57 the use of borate in our study of TAP nucleosides and cyanuric acid was borne out of necessity to form water‐soluble assemblies.
