Photon Trapping for Increased Efficiency of Cascaded Downconversion

Abstract: Cascaded spontaneous parametric downconversion is used to produce entangled photon triplets, although poor efficiency limits rates. As a solution, we propose trapping photons in an active cavity, giving them many chances at downconversion.
