Photonic Crystal Laser-Driven Accelerator Structures

Abstract: Laser-driven acceleration holds great promise for significantly improving accelerating gradient.However, scaling the conventional process of structure-based acceleration in vacuum down to optical wavelengths requires a substantially different kind of structure.
