Photoperiod and UV light influence secondary metabolites of Hyoscyamus niger callus induced from leaves

Mohammed Khafaji,
Alaa Taha

Abstract: Conclusion: Light significantly affected the concentration of several secondary metabolism chemicals. Despite this, UV light showed that the majority of secondary metabolites of N. niger had high significance when exposed to UV light for 120 min. This included a rise in levels of all compounds except for atropine, which showed a significant increase after only 60 minutes of UV exposure.
