Physiological sleep as a moderator of elimination of intracellular abnormal protein inducers of neurodegeneration

Abstract: The paper deals with data evidencing the existence of an evolutionary elaborated mechanism for "purifying" the molecular composition of the neuronal cytosol from abnormal conformers during physiological sleep.
