Plasma exchange as rescue therapy in multiple organ failure including acute renal failure*

Abstract: Plasma exchange using plasma as replacement may, in addition to conventional intensive care, help to reverse severe progressive disseminated intravascular coagulation and multiple organ dysfunction syndrome and improve survival.
