Pleuroperitoneal Leak Complicating Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis: A Case Report

Abstract: Acute massive pleuroperitoneal leak-related hydrothorax is a rare, but life-threatening complication of continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD). Hydrothorax develops right after the initiation of the CAPD or within a few days post-treatment. The late development of hydrothorax in patients treated with CAPD is quite rare.
