“…The (Chiplonkar & Badve, 1976;Dassarma & Sinha, 1975;Nayak, 2000a), gastropods (Gangopadhyay & Maiti, 2012), algae (Badve & Nayak, 1984;Kundal & Sanganwar, 1998a), foraminifera (Nayak, 1987;Rajshekhar, 1991), and trace fossils (Badve, 1987;Chiplonkar & Badve, 1972;Ghare & Badve, 1980;Kundal & Sanganwar, 1998b, 2000Nayak, 2000b;Patel, Shitole, & Joseph, 2018;Sanganwar & Kundal, 1997;Singh & Dayal, 1979) were reported from the different sections. Abundant specimens of Conichnus and Conostichnus burrows of sea anemones were observed in the uppermost part of the calcareous sandstone (Patel et al, 2018). Petrographically, it is composed of more than 70% fine-to coarse-grained angular quartz grains and subordinate polycrystalline quartz grains with plagioclase feldspar, microcline, chert, glauconite, and ooids (Figure 9b,c).…”
