Polarization Instabilities in Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Lasers

Abstract: We report on experimental investigation of short-period InGaAs/InGaAlAs superlattice vertical cavity surface emitting lasers characteristics (VCSEL), including light-current-voltage characteristics, optical and radiofrequency spectra and polarization mode hopping between orthogonal modes.
