Pollen Incompatibility in Portuguese Hazelnut Landraces

Abstract: In many higher plants, selffertilization and genetically related individuals are prevented by pollen-stigma incompatibility. In the genus Corylus, incompatibility is of the sporophytic type and controlled by a single locus with multiple alleles.
