Pollen Natural Resources For Bees In Slovakia

Abstract: Studying the pollen resources is a topical issue for both honey bees and people. The aim of our work was pollen natural resources for bees in deferent regions of Slovakia. Pollen grains, bee pollen, bee families and certain species of enthomophile plants served as a biological material. Flowering terms and other information related to the use of protein feed by bees in different regions of Slovakia were obtained after processing the information gained from local beekeepers. The bee pollen was selected several … Show more

“…In general, research focuses on the morphological characteristics of characters on fruits and flowers, chemical composition, antioxidant activity (Brindza et al, 2011(Brindza et al, , 2014Muntean et al, 2012;Oleárová et al, 2013), conservation of genetic resources (Mendel et al, 2019;Avagyan et al, 2020) and other possibilities of practical use. Pumpkin also produces a lot of pollen, which can be collected by bees in the form of bee pollens (Chlebo et al, 2017).…”

“…[16,17] The botanical origins of the pollen collected according to the floristic structure of the region where the honey bee colonies are located also vary. [15,18] In terms of sustainable beekeeping, the long flowering period of the flora and the high diversity cause the bees to multiply. It is very important to know the nectar and pollen source plants around the apiary and to investigate their existence.…”

“…(Radović et al, 2016), and Cichorium intybus L. (Adamchuk et al, 2017). Size, shape, surface morphology, and ultrastructure of pollen grains are of great importance in the characterization of the pollen grains (Erdtman, 1966;Fogle, 1977;Martens and Fretz, 1980;Brindza and Brovarskyi, 2013;Dyakova, 2014;Brovarskyi et al, 2017;Chlebo and Adamchuk, 2017).…”
