Polycarbonates as stationary phases for aqueous and acidic samples in capillary gas chromatography

Abstract: Abstract. Polycarbonates were evaluated as stationary phases for capillary gas chromatography. Advantagcs of these resins arc their high thermal stability and inertness to water. Long column lifetimes are exhibited for analysis of difficult samples such as acrylic acid in an acrylamidc/water solution. The chromatographic behavior and typical applications are discussed.
