Polymer complexes. LXXVII. Synthesis, characterization, spectroscopic studies and immune response in cattle of quinoline polymer complexes

Abstract: A series of novel polymeric metal complexes of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cr(III) with 5,5′-{(1E,1E′)-1,4-phenylenebis(diazene-2,1-diyl)} bis(quinolin-8-ol) (H 2 L) ligand were synthesized and characterized using elemental analyses, 1 H NMR, mass, infrared, UV-visible and electron spin resonance (ESR) spectroscopies, magnetic moment and conductivity measurements as well as thermal analyses. The spectral and analytical data revealed the ligand adopted a neutral bidentate fashion when binding to metal io… Show more

“…In addition to the data proven that, the HL x ligands (Figure S1 (A) ) are efficient inhibitors of receptors of prostate cancer and breast cancer (1JNX) than tautomeric form (D) of ligands (HL x ). These results are found to be in good agreement with the similar results were obtained recently …”

“…Literature surveys indicate that quinoline derivatives possess diverse pharmacological activities, including anti‐inflammatory, antiviral, antitumor activities antimicrobial and, antibody titer against bovine respiratory syncytial (BRS) virus in serum neutralizations test (SNT) . Also, they have been used in chromatography and for the detection of metal ions, antioxidant and biological effect activities .…”

“…The chelates were dissolved in DMSO, and the molar conductivities of 10 −3 M solutions at room temperature were measured using the recommended procedure. The low values of molar conductivity of mixedligand complexes (1-4) indicate their nonelectrolytic nature, and no ions are present outside the coordination spheres, [26,27] except mixed-ligand complex (1). The formation of white precipitate when a drop of 0.1 M of AgNO 3 was added to the mixed-ligand complex (1) confirms the presence of chlorine ions in the outer layer of the coordination sphere [1,2] (Table 1).…”

“…Docking calculations were carried out on the receptor of crystal structure of Staphylococcus aureus (3q8u) and the receptor of crystal structure of Escherichia coli (3t88) proteins model. Essential hydrogen atoms, solvation parameters and Kollman united atom type charges were added with the aid of AutoDock tools [20][21][22][23].…”
