Portable Hydrogen Storage Based on New Chemistry of Sodium Borohydride

Abstract: To overcome the problems of a current hydrogen storage technology, EnerFuel has invented a novel hydrogen system which produces hydrogen through a non water based chemical reaction of sodium borohydride. Based on the new chemistry, a portable hydrogen storage and generator device has 7.03 kWh total hydrogen content and can supply hydrogen at the rates required by 1 -60 W fuel cells.
