Abstract:Results are reported of 2 γ angular correlation measurements in magnetized iron single crystals. The spin density distribution, as seen by the positron, has been obtained up to the l = 6 term and is compared with existing band structure calculations. The features in the momentum distribution, customarily ascribed to a negative conduction electron polarization, are interpreted in terms of the exchange polarization of the 3 d wave functions

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
