Show more

“…For Figure 1, polymerization time dependence studies at 150 °C showed that these hafnium catalysts exhibited outstanding thermal stability. Especially, Hf‐3 remained active in polymerization within 2 h. The high polymerization temperature and the aliphatic hydrocarbon solvents make this system potentially amenable for industrial solution phase polymerization processes [40–43] …”

“…The petroleum industry is the main source of ethylene and α‐olefins. After Ziegler discovered a transition metal‐based catalyst for ethylene polymerization and Natta discovered polymerization of stereoselective propylene, [2,3] a rapid increase in research studies has been observed in this area [2,4–11] . However, the application of these materials is limited due to the fact that they offer poor surface properties associated with their non‐polar nature [12–15] .…”

“… [8–10] This route has achieved great success in early transition metal catalytic systems such as metallocene for the preparation of uniformly dispersed polyolefin composites [11–15] . Generally, the fillers are pretreated with cocatalysts such as methylaluminoxane (MAO), which can activate metal catalysts and heterogenize them by the formation of ion pairs (Figure 1C, left) [16–21] …”
