Abstract:Chylothorax is the accumulation of lymphatic fluid in pleural space following traumatic injury to lymphatic vessels, systemic venous obstruction, dysfunction of the right ventricle, thrombosis of the duct, superior vena cava or subclavian vein, or postoperatively.
