Postprocessing of correlation outputs to improve optical recognition system performance

Abstract: Optical correlators employing magnetooptic spatial light modulators (MOSLMs) can process binary phase-only filter (BPOF) responses at kilohertz frame rates,1 making real-time recognition possible.
