Poststroke nutrition - part 1

Abstract: In a nutshellAfter a stroke, the body may have to deal with ischaemic damage, inflammation, oxidation and hyperglycaemia. Nutrients that can help counter these processes include antioxidant and B vitamins, zinc and magnesium, as well as careful glycaemic control. There is some RCT evidence to support such treatments, but as yet not enough to provide solid confirmation of their validity.
